About this piece
Details: Origin: Syria/Arabia Age: Circa 18th Century Dimensions: 24” Width x 31” Height x 17” Depth Description: These museum worthy chairs were hand-made from walnut wood and meticulously decorated with gold and inlaid with mother of pearl. No nails were originally used to make these chairs. They were designed to be used by the royal family at the palace, and contain mihrab designs that link them to spirituality. They are both in good shape, and are sturdy enough to be sat in. Some of the chair’s arm dowels and mother of pearl inlays are missing.
Hand-selected and imported by Sadiq Tawfiq. Every purchase includes the piece’s story.
