Your information,
and what we do with it

Khyber Pass Gallery is a family business in Laguna Beach, California. We collect only what we need to answer you, price a piece, or care for your rug — and we do not sell it.

What we collect

What you type into a form. The inquiry, quote, booking, and special-order forms ask for your name, email address, and phone number. Depending on the form, they may also ask for a mailing address, the size and colours of a rug, a description of what you want, and a shipping preference. Anything you write in a message field is stored with it.

Payment details, if you buy something. When online payment is switched on, card payments will be handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s systems and never reaches ours; we receive only a confirmation, the amount, and the last four digits.

Appointment details, if you book one. Service bookings will be scheduled through Cal.com, which records the time you chose and the contact details you gave.

Ordinary technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, logs the usual request information — IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

What your browser stores

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It uses two pieces of browser storage, both of which stay on your own device:

• Your cart, so the pieces you have selected survive a page change.
• How you arrived — the referring site and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This is cleared when you close the tab.

Clearing your browser data removes both.

How we use it

To reply to you, to quote and carry out work on your rug, to take and fulfil an order, to keep a record of what was agreed, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. If you tick the box asking to hear from us, we may also send occasional news about the gallery; every such message has an unsubscribe link, and untick­ing it changes nothing about the rest.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process it only on our instructions:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and the record of form submissions.
• Resend — delivering the email that tells us you wrote in.
• Stripe — card payments, once enabled.
• Cal.com — appointment scheduling, once enabled.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and quotes are kept for three years so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Records tied to a sale or a service are kept for seven years, as tax rules require. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

Write or call and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you live in California, the CCPA gives you those rights explicitly, along with the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do neither, for anyone. Exercising any of these rights costs you nothing and changes nothing about how you are treated here.

Children

This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, call us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
