About this piece
Details: Origin: North Afghanistan Age: Approximately 100-150 Years Old Dimensions: 12” Height x 8” Width Description: This amazing dowry gift was constructed using silver, and was decorated using gold plate and 14 large agates. Every detail was hand carved and the chain was hand-woven. The original artist spent a great amount of time to create this. The heart shape symbolizes happiness and joy, while the agates are meant to extend good luck and protection to their wearer, who in this case would have been the bride on her wedding night. This is a one-of-a-kind piece created specifically for the wedding, and the married couple would cherish this for the rest of their lives. The chain is also crafted by hand creating rope diezine for being all unique and handmade.
