Details: Origin: North Afghanistan Age (Beads): 1000 Years Old Age (Necklace): Recently Made Dimensions: 32 ” Length Description: This Turkmen Agate & Silver Heart Necklace was original given as a dowry gift . It features 12 strands of hand-carved agate and lapis lazuli beads that took many hours to create. The agate in the center of the heart is meant to represent good luck, while the lapis lazuli is meant to bring purity. The heart is made of silver , but is gold -plated and finished with hand-carved designs that are said to have come from heaven. The necklace also contains several black color beads that are meant to keep evil eyes from affecting the wearer of the necklace. The engineering of the necklace is very good, as evidenced by the incredibly accuracy of the spacing of the beads.
