Details: Origin: North Afghanistan Age: Circa 1900 Dimensions: 36 ” Length Description: This is a very fine quality Lapis Lazuli Sun Design Belt with genuine lapis lazuli set in solid sterling silver ornamentation. It was commissioned for a woman in a royal family to be worn around a silk dress. The hand-crafted ornamentation that surrounds each of the lapis lazuli cicular centers represent the power and energy that emanate from the sun. Although it appears detailed and fragile, this hand-made belt has held up incredibly well, with no broken pieces or missing parts. All of the connections and welds have been carefully calculated and engineered to last hundreds of years. This belt contains approximately 1000 grams of lapis lazuli .
