About this piece
Details: Origin: Old Persia Age: Circa 1900 Dimensions: 20″ x 72″ (approximate) Description: This Hand Woven Old Persian Tree-of-Life Rug was made with natural dyes and features many floral and other symbols of nature that represent creation. This beautiful, one-of-a-kind, collectible rug was made very meticulously with great attention to detail and a very fine weave. It cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Both of the tree-of-life symbols meet in the middle of the rug, where a blue symbol resides that represents the source of life, creation of children and generations, and the initial and final meeting place of this energy. At each end of the rug, a seed-like symbol branches out, and grows forever. The deep blue dye that surrounding the symbols comes from indigo and has maintained its deep, rich, spiritual color . The light blue dye represents clarity, while the turquoise represents sky and water. The white represents spiritual purity and cleanliness. The rug is meant to be hung on a wall or placed over a table, or placed on the floor in a low-to-zero traffic area.
Hand-selected and imported by Sadiq Tawfiq. Every purchase includes the piece’s story.
