Details: Origin: Iran Age: Nearly 100 Years Old Dimensions: 32” x 38” (approximate) Description: This Jawal bag was given as a dowry gift . The entire piece is suzani needlework. The original artist took 2 to 3 years to hand-make this beautiful, strong, high quality Jawal bag. The colors of this bag represent the artist’s message, in this case “good luck and best wishes” represented by green and purple. These bags are usually hand woven from wool or silk, and come as a pair. Though it is nearly 100 years old, this multi-purpose Jawal bag is still in great shape. This is attributed to the high quality suzani needlework and low amount of usage.
