About this piece
Details: Origin: North Afghanistan Age: 100 Years Old Dimensions: 30 ” Length (adjustable) Description: This Turkmen Agate Necklace features the side of a telesma with an Agate affixed to it, and is meant to bring good luck and safety to it’s wearer. The coral and turquoise beads on the side of the Telesma are from Europe, and although they were likely made with a machine, the original artist mistook them for valuable stone. The amber beads on the necklace chain are real amber. The silver cylindrical beads on the chain are hollow, and are small telesma said to hold good energy inside of them. The black color beads are said to prevent evil eyes from affecting the wearer. The piece overall is meant to provide positive energy and defend against negative energy.
