About this piece

Details: Origin: Afghanistan Age: About 100 years old Dimensions: 22″ squared Description: This pillow was hand woven by the Turkmen in the north part of Afghanistan using fine sheep wool . The design is a very old tribal pattern that resembles those that native Americans used. It is believed that similarities between native American and Turkmen designs are the result of a migration of eastern people to the North American continent via an ice bridge that crossed the Bering Strait.

Hand-selected and imported by Sadiq Tawfiq. Every purchase includes the piece’s story.
