Details: Origin: Isfahan, Iran Age: Circa 19th Century Dimensions: 13.5-16” Diameter x 4-6” Height Description: This antique matching bowl and plate set was beautifully handmade out of the fine clay from the city of Isfahan, Iran. The colors are all made with natural dyes. The design comes from Persian motifs that are often found on buildings, books, and others. In the center of the bowl, a woman looks into her reflection in the water. Symbols of flowers, birds, fish, and others reveal that this set was specifically made to be used to prepare and serve fruit and sweet, healthy dishes on New Year’s Day.
